It is a big white government building just one block off the courthouse square that houses many other county government functions. I am 99% sure it just cash only, they will have you fill out the necessary paper work and give you the packet to take over to the Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's Office was a friendly staff and you don't have to get your fingers dirty! they do fingerprints electronically. the wait wasn't that long either. so i would have to say it was a pretty swift process. i was really surprised @ the time it took for me to recieve my license in the mail. 15 business days, WONDERFUL! i wonder if that was because i already possessed a CCW from the state of Michigan?
