| 8:30 A.M. until 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays The probate officer was very kind. It only took 15 minutes there. I took the finger print card to the local police station in Springfield and paid them $8. They did the digital finger prints. I was there about 10 min. The whole process was painless and the cops were surpisingly friendly. I applied Sept 30th and got it in the mail Oct 30th. ----------Process received 8/21/2007---------- Clerk of court was very friendly and helpful. The sheriffs office was also professional and quick. Entire process took 20 minutes plus about a 3 minute drive from the courthouse to the Sheriffs office. Received license in 20 days.
