Type: | New Application | Submitted: | Mar. 10, 2010 | | Total Time Taken: | Two weeks so far. | Total Payment: | $60.00 | Process: | I presented myself at the County Probate Office and explained that I wanted to apply for a Georgia Firearms License. The woman behind the counter explained the process to me and she filled out the application form. She asked me to read over the form and sign it if it was correct. She sent me to the Sheriff's office to get my finger prints scanned and instructed me to take a money order made out to the Fannin County Sheriff's Office for $45.00 to cover the finger printing cost. She also instructed me to call the Probate Office in two to three weeks to see if my permit had been approved and signed by the Judge. If my license was ready, I could then come back to the Probate Office and pay a $15.00 fee (cash or check) and pick it up. | |
