Filled out the application, talked nicely to grumpy lady and went home. Waited 112 days and went to talk to grumpy lady again, listened to excuses and went back home. Waited 136 days since application before going back and asking for appointment with the judge. 1 1/2 hours later I got a phone call to come pick up the permit.
Fingerprints were done in sheriff’s dept. that is within very short walking distance from the court house.Mine were done in ink but I was told they normally scan.

$24 payment to GBI - money order only. $25 to Barrow County - cash or money order. All fees paid at Probate Court, then sent to jail to be fingerprinted. Staff was very uninformed about process, finally had to ask to see the Probate Judge personally. Probate Judge was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was told to expect a 90 day wait, license came on 60th day from application.

Go around the corner to BArrow Detention Center $31.00 CASH (Exact Change) get finger printed They only to prints from 11am-1PM M-f Probate was good Fingerprinting was a pain longest time waiting The lady who takes your money went to lunch.
