Exit in Newnan and follow 34 West to Franklin, GA. Go into the County Probate Courts Office let them know you want to apply for a firearm permit and the clerk will ask you to have a seat at here desk you'll be asked for your picture ID (Drivers License) the clerk will put all of your info into the computer and ask you to read over the background check sheet and then fill it out and sign the paper work. You'll then pay $44.00 by cash or money order. Now they will give you a receipt and tell you to take it to the Heard Co. S.O for prints and the S.O will print you by way of digital prints and you are all done. Wait for a call from the court in about 2 weeks letting you know your permit is read for pickup at the Probate Courts Office. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
